This resturaunt is awesome and I have always loved the food here. I live close by and I can pick up food or sit down for a meal and service is always great! We had plans for dinner for valentines day at a different place and due to reservation issues we had to find a place to get dinner on short notice and tried our luck at several places and couldn't get a table. On our way home we stopped by Hawthornes and figured we would give it a shot not expecting much because of the holiday. We came in and were told we could get a table in a couple of minutes and we were having dinner and enjoying our night thanks to the ambiance and friendly staff. This was the best valentines date we have had in a few years maybe ever. Thank you Hawthornes for making our night and always having amazing food. We will be back and would reccomend to anyone and everyone looking for great food and service!!
Pleasantly impressed! I would give 5-stars for the food and 3 for the service. So, hence split the 2 for a 4-star. We have not been to any Hawthorne's in years. Mainly because the last time either of us went the menu was too small and no versatile at all (Think Brixx), so not sure if they were sold a few years back or what but was super impressed with the menu. I got the Chx parm Hoagie and it was really good. We had an appetizer of the garlic knots and they were very very good! We also got an appetizer of the meatballs and they were also very good. My wife got a salad with grilled chicken and my daughter had the cheese pizza. Both were good. We will be back and I recommend. We came around 1pm on a Saturday and while it was not busy at all we got the bar server that was no near our table so we were slightly neglected. Hopefully we receive better service next time but looking forward to experiencing more of their huge menu!
This place is very good. Been here twice and has the baked ziti both times. Excellent. The garlic knots didn't have much garlic but they were good. Pasta was cooked eldante and sauce had a good flavor. Service was excellent, I wish I could remember Her name.
I don't think this location is as great as the one in Elizabeth. The service is good but food isn't as good as the other address.
The pizza is a solid 4 out of 5--maybe because I'm pretty picky about NY pizza--but the garlic knots are incredible if you're a garlic lover! The wings are awesome, and the Penne Vodka with chicken is delicious with a generous portion. Service is always excellent.
